About TrustLayer

We exist to make a guarantee mean something.

Our mission

Trust should not depend on who blinks first.

Every home service job starts the same way. One side has the money and no proof. The other has the work and no money. Someone has to go first, and whoever goes first is exposed. TrustLayer exists to remove that standoff.

We hold the customer's payment under a full refund guarantee and release it the moment they confirm the work. The business gets paid on a real agreement instead of a hopeful button, and the customer gets a guarantee backed by held funds rather than a slogan.

Our job is to make the promise on the truck mean something on the invoice.

What we believe

Completion is a claim. Confirmation is an agreement.

Every field service platform releases payment the moment a technician marks a job complete. ServiceTitan does. Housecall Pro does. Jobber and Workiz do. Not one of them asks the customer.

Completion

A technician saying the job is done.

One person's account, recorded by the person who did it.

Confirmation

A customer agreeing.

The other party to the transaction, looking at the finished work, saying yes. It creates a record with a name, a timestamp, and a job attached.

Those are two different facts, and only one of them wins a dispute ninety days later.

When a chargeback arrives, the bank does not ask whether your tech tapped a button. It asks for evidence the cardholder received and accepted the service. The entire industry runs on the fact that loses.

The math

What disputes actually cost.

PLACEHOLDER: ScanPay's own dispute rate. The most valuable number on this page.

81%

Customers who say filing with their bank is easier than calling the business. The path of least resistance runs straight through your revenue.

PayCompass 2025

~75%

Disputes that are first-party fraud. A real customer, a real charge, real work. Fraud screening cannot catch it, because nothing about the transaction is fake except the claim.

Chargeflow and PayCompass 2025

~50%

Merchant win rate on contested disputes. Evidence decides it. Not the merits. The paperwork.

Chargeback.io 2026

$4.61

The all-in cost of every dollar lost to a dispute, once fees, labor, and lost work are counted.

Annual dispute cost

$75,616

Estimate for illustration at $4.61 all-in per dollar lost. TrustLayer's job is to shrink the input that matters: how many disputes exist at all.

What we value

The values behind the product.

Confirmation over completion

Value 01

A job is not done because a technician says so. It is done when the customer agrees. We tie the money to that agreement, and nothing about the product works any other way.

The customer holds the power

Value 02

The person who paid decides when the work is accepted. That single idea removes the standoff at the heart of every home service job, and it is why a guarantee from a TrustLayer business actually means something.

A record, not a promise

Value 03

Every job leaves a timestamped approval or a logged non-response. We would rather build a clean record than ask anyone to take a claim on faith, because a record is what holds up ninety days later.

Fair to both sides

Value 04

Protection that only helps one party is just leverage. TrustLayer protects the customer's money and the contractor's proof at the same time, so the honest business and the honest customer both come out ahead.

Built on serious infrastructure

Value 05

Money under protection sits at JPMorgan Chase, not in a workaround. We hold ourselves to bank-grade standards because people are trusting us with the part of the job that matters most.

Earn trust, then scale it

We are onboarding a limited group of brands and learning from every one before we open the doors wider. Trust is the product, so we would rather grow it carefully than spend it fast.
